Here are some tips on Brochure Designing:
  • In a typical tri-fold, letter-sized page, you should have the invitation "grabber" on the front and contact information on the middle back section (where it's always the "backside" of the brochure.) So, your message needs to fit neatly on the four remaining panels.
  • Do not ruin a great layout with boring text. Your text should sparkle and entertain. It should tell your story, and your business approach, in an inviting tone.
  • Depending on what the audience of your brochure is, choose your fonts accordingly. In general, goofy fonts that have strange shapes and whorls and squiggles should not be used. If you have to, limit their use to titles. You want the reading of the content of the brochure to be easy, using fancy/goofy fonts makes reading more difficult.
  • For more formal brochures, a serifed font (like Times New Roman) is preferable. Serifed fonts are fonts that have those little protrusions at the end of the letters. Sans-serifed fonts are safe for all occasions and can be used any time. Remember Sans-serifed fonts don't have protrusions at the letters' ends (like Arial).
